Data Scientist - K12 Edtech

1. Conduct rigorous data analysis and statistical modeling on large datasets related to students' performance, behaviors, and cognitive assessments.

2. Extract actionable insights from complex data sets to help shape strategies for personalized learning experiences.

3. Develop predictive models to understand student outcomes, identify potential learning gaps, and recommend intervention strategies.

4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, UX) to implement data-driven features and enhancements.

5. Design and create visualizations and dashboards to effectively communicate data findings to non-technical stakeholders.

6. Write and maintain robust, efficient, and scalable code for our data science infrastructure.

7. Stay updated on cutting-edge research and best practices in the field of educational data science and cognitive assessment.

As a Data Scientist, you'll play a critical role in understanding and analyzing our educational data, which include students' self-assessment reports, diagnostic reports, and cognitive assessments. You will use your data science skills to provide insights into our students' learning patterns and outcomes, helping us continuously refine our personalized learning models and processes.

Creative thinking 

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex data in a simple, actionable way.

• Able to communicate in English 
• Solid understanding of statistical techniques, predictive modeling, machine learning algorithms, and data mining.
•  Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, etc.

• Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Education, Psychology, or a related quantitative field.
•  Proven experience as a Data Scientist or similar role, ideally within the EdTech sector.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and R. Familiarity with SQL and database management.
• Knowledge of cognitive assessment methodologies and their application in educational settings would be a plus.
